Terrace Land Development
Through an agreement with the Province and consultation with the Kitselas First Nation, serviced land for aviation and light industry is in the process of being made available at the regional airport.
The strategic location of the airport along a major highway and rail route and near the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert make it a key link, part of an integrated transportation network. Tourism, forestry, mining and manufacturing industries, among others, all utilize the airport. The airport comprises approximately 820 ha of the 2320 ha of land with the remainder of airport property comprised of large forested land parcels. The majority of these lands sit atop a plateau, making the terrain flat and appropriate for development.

- Airport operations-related
- Airside Commercial
- Ground Commercial
- Light - heavy industrial
Some specific possible uses of the land in question include:
- Container 'stuffing'
- Log home manufacturing
- Staging area for mining
- Construction camp
- Helicopter maintenance
- OSB plant
- Warehousing or storage facilities
- Any industry providing value-added to local raw materials
- Contractors and maintenance shops
- Greenhouses/market maintenance
- Manufacturing
- Customs
